MOSAIK Skintype I
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears very pale or ivory in colour. Eye colour tends to also be light in colour, ranging from light blue, light grey, to light green. Natural hair colour ranges from light blonde, variations of red/reddish-brown, to light brown/brown. Generally, the skin appears pale, and buff, it may also have a slightly pinkish tone, with a high tendency to freckle, and a high risk of burning when exposed to the sun. The skin is often very sensitive and prone to severe dryness, as well as irritation from extrinsic factors; including topical products containing aggressive ingredients and/or perfumes.
MOSAIK Skintype II
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears pale or fair in colour. Eye colour tends to also be light in colour, ranging from blue, grey, to green. Natural hair colour ranges from blonde to light brown/brown. Generally, the skin appears light, is prone to hyperpigmentation, has a tendency to freckle, and scars easily when injured. There is a high risk of the skin burning when exposed to the sun, however, in some cases, it may develop a slight tan. The skin can be sensitive and prone to dryness, as well as irritation from extrinsic factors; including topical products containing aggressive ingredients or perfumes.
MOSAIK Skintype III
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears fair or beige in colour, with some golden undertones. Eye colour tends to range from hazel to light brown/brown. Natural hair colour ranges from light blonde to dark brown. Generally, the skin appears light to medium in colour, with a low tendency to freckle, but easily tans when exposed to the sun. The skin has a high risk of hyperpigmentation and easily scars when injured. Overall the skin tends to be ‘combination’ in nature - ranging from dry to oily, influenced by factors such as diet, environment, stress, and the use of certain products.
MOSAIK Skintype IV
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears olive or beige in colour, with darker undertones. Eye colour tends to range from blue, green, hazel brown, to dark brown. Natural hair colour ranges from blonde, light brown/brown, to black. Generally, the skin appears medium to moderately dark in colour, with a low tendency to freckle, but easily tans when exposed to the sun. The skin has a high risk of hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation and scarring is more likely to occur, causing unevenness, troughs, pits and hollows on the skin’s surface. Overall the skin tends to be ‘combination’ or oily in nature - influenced by circumstances such as diet, environment, stress, and the use of certain products.
MOSAIK Skintype V
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears darker in colour. Eye colour ranges from brown to dark brown. Natural hair colour ranges from brown/dark brown to black. Generally, the skin appears dark in colour, rarely burning with sun exposure, but has a high risk of hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation caused by photodamage, as well as external pollutants/stressors. There is also a high risk of keloid scarring when the skin is injured. Overall the skin tends to be oily in nature - influenced by pore size and prevalence of sweat glands in this skintype.
MOSAIK Skintype VI
Skin before sun exposure, or in unexposed areas, appears dark to very dark in colour. Eye colour ranges from brown, dark brown, to brownish-black. Natural hair colour ranges from dark brown to black. Generally, the skin appears very dark in colour, rarely to never burns with sun exposure, but has a high risk of hypopigmentation caused by photodamage and/or external pollutants/stressors. There is also a high risk of keloid scarring when the skin is injured. Overall the skin tends to be oily in nature - influenced by pore size and prevalence of sweat glands in this skintype.
